Bulgarian association of retail centers was established in 2020, where right to be members have a group of retail and other commercial establishments that is planned, developed, owned, and managed as a single property with minimum gross leasable area of at least 5 000 sq. m. The association was established to support, protect, and represent their interest. The members of BARC are representatives of 12 shopping centers from all over the country or more than 50% of all centers eligible for membership, providing jobs to over 150 thousand people directly employed in the industry. The association is voluntarily, non-political, non-governmental and non-religious organization.
