Increased number of security guards and mandatory adult escort for persons under 18 years of age

The members of the Bulgarian Association of Retail Centers (BARC) introduce an increased number of security guards and a strict requirement for persons under 18 to be allowed on the territory of the shopping centers only if they are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. The restrictions are only part of the measures that the malls introduce in addition to ensure the safety of visitors and tenants in an emergency epidemic.

The measures were introduced preventively by the managers of the malls and have already entered into force in the shopping centers of the members of the Association in the cities where no official order has been issued.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, shopping centers in the country have been doing everything possible to ensure a safe and secure environment for the people who visit them. The proactive introduction of the new measures on our part is another step in this direction. We thank all responsible consumers and tenants and again appeal for a responsible stay on the territory of our shopping centers, "said the management of BARC.

A few days ago, in a statement to the media, the Association stated its full readiness for an immediate meeting and conversation with the institutions.

According to the Texas Medical Association Scale and the Infectious Diseases Committee, which governs the National Operations Headquarters, the risk of shopping in a mall is classified as moderate and comparable to activities such as visiting the beach, swimming in a pool or working in an office building.
